DIY American Girl Tacos

We’ve wanted to make tacos for quite some time now, ever since we got the American Girl Fiesta Picnic set. Since American Girl just released a new Hot Lunch set that included tacos, we knew it was time to finally craft them! It’s such an easy craft and will make a great kid project for the summer days. You could make dozens of tacos in no time using this method! We literally only used scraps from what we had on hand. We looked through the craft closet, and pulled out bits and pieces for what we needed. We’ve only made about a dozen so far, but I think more are coming. A taco cart would be fun right?!

Materials Needed:

  • Scrap Paper
  • Glue *Mod Podge
  • Scrap Craft Foam
  • Tissue or Paper Towel
  • Craft Paint
  • White Puffy Paint *optional for sour cream

    You should make a casserole and a casserole dish. Especially the casserole dish because if I make a Series of Unfortunate Events movie with my dolls baby Sunny can sleep in the casserole dish or if I do Stardust then baby Tristan can.

    So cute! Where do you buy white, black and brown puffy paint? I’ve been able to find other colours at the Dollar store, but not any neutrals. Also, I’ve been working on an american girl doll store and I thought it would be cool if you could make carts for the dolls to shop with. And could you also make some fruit and maybe a hammock? And if you do, can I have a shout-out please? Thanks!

    These are great! How about creating packaging for the taco shells, so our dolls can go buy them at the store?
