We have used the popsicle stick bend method for several of our crafts. We haven’t done it for the dolls until now. There are so many possibilities when using this method of soaking the sticks and changing the shape. You can make headbands, headphones of course, bracelets, watches, and more! You do have to use patience for this craft as we spread it out over several days. If you can boil your sticks, it can be condensed to only a few hours from start to finish.

Materials Needed:

  • Giant Popsicle Sticks
    • These can be found at Walmart.
    • 8-9″ is best to fit the dolls head.
  • Wooden Circles
    • These are from an assorted bag from Hobby Lobby or Micheals craft store.
    • You can also just use recycled paperboard and cut the circles out.
  • Craft Foam Sheets
    • I used scrap pieces.
  • Giant Buttons
    • I like how the giant buttons look but you can also use craft foam so it’s nice and soft on the dolls ears. Whatever you have on hand.
  • Water
  • Craft Paint

Hi Rudy, back in 2014 you had a video of How to make an American Girl Dollhouse from an old Armoire. Have you finished that doll house? If yes, can you post an update showing the completed project? Pretty please!

We did complete that project a long time ago. However, a few months back we revamped them into organized craft supply storage. I’ll see if I have any pictures of the dollhouse.

Guys, she actually had to evacuate because of the fires, but if you follow her instagram she tells about that and that she’s back now, so that is why she hasn’t been posting much. Also, what do you mean “so many reviews”? She doesn’t post that many. Also please remember that Rudy has a life and three kids, so respect the fact that she doesn’t have time to do all your requests as soon as you ask for them. She may get to them soon, but maybe not. It just depends. 🤷ðŸ?¼â€?♀ï¸?
      K bye ?

How on earth did you come up with wetting the craft sticks? That was pure genius!

When I was a kid my mom would boil them for me to make bracelets. You can still boil them for a faster result, or just let them soak for a safe kid friendly version.

I’m sorry you’re annoyed but sometimes things happen and I can’t talk. I thought it would still be best to share the craft rather than not. It’s a pretty simple craft to follow. I’ve said this before and I’ll remind everyone again, I do crafts AND reviews. Sometimes when there is an overload of new products released, you get more reviews than crafts. You will see many more reviews as it gets closer to the Holidays. This is so people can see these items and decide what they want on their gift list or to see if it’s worth buying to them! Thanks for stopping by! ?
