American Girl How the Grinch Stole Christmas Book

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a classic.  Dr. Seuss has always been a favorite in our house so we felt the dolls needed a copy of the book their own size. Even though it is an easy craft and it doesn’t require a lot of materials, it is a tedious craft.  You must take your time to get all the pages aligned.  Have fun!

Materials Needed:

TIPS:

  • I used scissors to cut out the cover, but since their are so many individual pages to cut out I used a paper trimmer to speed up the process and make sure the edges were straight.  It is really important to make sure your pages are all the same size.
  • This is optional, but I did laminate the top of the book cover to give it a glossy look like the original book.
  • For all the pages regular printer paper is fine, but I did use card stock for the book cover to make it stiffer.
  • If you don’t have a printer or don’t want to use up your ink, take it somewhere to be printed!  Don’t miss out on this awesome craft!  My local library only charges $0.10 per printed page so that would make this fun craft only $1!

There are 2 pages where it shows the log on the fire. I’m talking about the 1 before the one shown in the middle on printable 7. The one missing is the page that says “Then the last thing he took was the log for their fire…”

Also missing the 2nd to last page of the book where it says “And what happened then…? Well in Who-ville they say that the grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day!…”

My favorite Christmas story when I was a child was one called The Littlest Angel. It was so sweet! Another would be The Little Drummer Boy.

Just a suggestion for the glossy cover – I use glossy photo paper to print cover- I can usually reuse the rest of the sheet for another. The paper is stiffer and glossy.

thank for doing all these books- love them.

We made this book today! Thank you so much.

Would you ever consider doing DVD jackets for Christmas movies?

Or book jackets like you’ve done in the past for Christmas books?

    Possible Ideas:

    The Nutcracker

    Night Before Christmas

    Carl’s Christmas

    Snowmen at Christmas

    Room for a Little One

    The Snowman

    Dream Snow

    Angelina’s Christmas

    The Polar Express

Thanks for all the fun tutorials!

I love this book!! One thing that I hate when people make AG books is that they don’t have pages, so that’s why this is awesome to me!! My suggestion isn’t books but could you do Christmas movies at all?
