How to make American Girl Macarons

This has been a highly requested craft and I think we have just forgotten to do it since we have so many American Girl macarons already.  However, we have finally done it and it is a FUN craft!  Kid approved.  This one is easy for the little ones, as the video clearly shows. ? The only tip we have for this one is be sure to let the Puffy Paint completely dry so it doesn’t smudge. You want it to look like yummy thick jam, ganache, or frosting!

Materials Needed:

  1. Scissors or Thick Hole Punch
  2. Craft Foam
  3. Puffy Paint
  4. Glue

Watch and tell us what your favorite flavor Macaron is!

Can you PLEASE make more things for Grace since she will be retiring soon? l want to make sure she had a great year and doesn’t get ignored once Lea comes out. Also because I wasn’t able to get anything from Grace’s collection besides the Doll and her Earring set, and most of her stuff is sold out now. I love Grace and I would also love to see more crafts for her. Thanks!~ Olivia

buzzy, You can also just use Scissors! I only have a small Hole Punch. Not the kind in the video. So when (If ever) I make mine, I’m just going to trace something round (The size I want my Macaron to be) onto my foam, and cut it out. Hope this helps! ?~ Olivia Wilson

The difference between a Macaron and a Macaroon: Macarons are made of Ground Almonds and Egg Whites, and you must be very careful to be sure the Egg Whites are Fluffy. Where as with Macaroons, you have to be sure the Eggs are stiff. And the textures and shapes are very different! A Macaron is very light, and there are many different flavors! But, with Macaroons, they are chunky, and there can pretty much just be one flavor: Coconut, which is because it’s the main ingredient is Shredded Coconut!

    I think a m

I think a macaroon is a mountain-shaped coconut pastry with chocolate drizzle. This craft is perfect, I was just about to make real macarons!

Well, I hope that is enough explaining! Please let me know if you agree!

One is made out of coconut , and the other one is made out of almond flour ! And the one with coconut is British, the other is French !

The difference between the macaron are the sandwich-like French macaron is more of a meringue cookie, getting its light, airy texture from egg whites. The Southern coconut macaroon, on the other hand, is a hearty lump of confectionry made of shredded coconut and condensed milk. And can you please éclair!? I was doing a French report on there country, and I was saying there deserts and one of them was the éclair! And so for the thing I was giving them to eat was the éclair. Pleas make it I know my doll would LOVE it! Thanks
