American Girl Doll Kitchen Counter DIY

American Girl put together a Maryellen scene with an adorable kitchen counter. It had her cookie cutter set in it and her retro fridge. I loved it! They always put together great scenes for their website and catalogues using pieces that they don’t sell and we take notice! A friend of mine made the kitchen counter with three wooden dressers from Michaels. I saw it and thought, it’s so cute I must make it too! My version is just using foam board and it’s a very easy craft. If you are wanting to start learning how to craft with foam board, this is the perfect starter project. Also, it goes well with the DIY Gourmet Kitchen. They fit flush together. So, this can be an addition to the kitchen. If you are using them together, I suggest making the counter tops the same to match.  Watch the video below for the step by step.

Discovering your site last week was certainly an early Christmas present for me! Last year we got my granddaughter Grace because they both love to cook. Between my sister and I we have been building up her wardrobe and a few pieces of furniture. This year she mentioned how much she wanted an apron for her doll. Finding the plans for the kitchen will fit right in with her request and love that it will be in muy budget to make. Thank you and merry Christmas. PS would also love to see plans for a refrigerator

It’s from Michaels in the loose scrap book paper section. In with the “specialty” paper.
