Can you believe it’s June already?! I mean didn’t Grace Thomas just come out as the new GOTY? It’s crazy how fast time goes by. When Grace Thomas was announced the new GOTY and her big ticket item was revealed to be a French Bakery, I was very excited. She is one of my favorites because there is so much to craft for her. I took on the BIG project of replicating her bakery and all the furniture pieces within. It has taken months, but all the plans are done and all the pieces have been built! Honestly, it was a huge project to take on especially for someone who has a crazy busy life. And let’s face it, that’s all of us! The only thing that I haven’t finished yet is the decorating and the fine details. Since I already own the original French Bakery, I thought it would be a great idea to do a giveaway with the one I made and then have the winner finish up all the details! It sounds perfect, but the more I thought about it, the more it scared me. This is a big item and I am afraid of something happening to it during the shipping. We all know how things can be tossed and turned during the shipping process even when it’s labeled fragile and I would hate for all my hard work to show up in pieces to the winners house. I don’t want to let you down, so we are still having a giveaway! I will be sending Grace’s French Bakery straight to the winner from the American Girl Store. Giveaway ends on June 30, 2015.

I have 6 grandsons and only 1 granddaughter. She was not a fan of any doll until I introduced her to AG last Christmas. We went on our first trip to the AG store a couple of weeks ago and she was mesmerized by Grace’s bakery. She has read Grace’s sory and watched the movie. When I went to the American Girl store in January, I thought Grace and her bakery were just adorable and would be so much fun to play with. I also thought that I would be able to get Grace’s bakery with my own money. Then I saw the price and had to get over the bakery, but I did buy the doll. The definition of “craft” has really been stretched to its limit on the brag page :-/ Does it really count to submit stuff that someone just bought and didn’t actually make? Or a piece of paper they wrote on and called a craft?

This is a lovely toy my daughters would absolutely love for their American Girl dolls. I would love to win this for them. Their grandparents live in Paris and they are being raised bilinqual since I’m french and their father is American. We visit yearly so this playset would have a lot of meaning culturally and in terms of what they experience when we travel to France and with out family. It’s clearly been designed by someone who understands French pastries.

My favorite thing about Graces bakery is all the main furniture type pieces. Since I love crafting doll food, it is super useful and if I won I would love to display all of my creations everywhere! I also love how it has a lot of roomy space and would be perfect for stop motions.

My daughter just turned 7 and she received Grace for her birthday. She is her very first American Girl doll and she is in love with her! She actually looks a little like Grace, with her brown hair and sprinkle of freckles. She also loves to help me bake and cupcakes are her favorite food. So Grace was very fitting for her. What i like about Grace the most is her bakery! Cause i think she is kind of the same face mold as umm a mix with Mekenna [prob spelt wrong] and another doll. Grace is an amazing new doll. Her story has gotten my daughter involved with cooking and baking more. Right now she is planning a bake sale this fall for the No Kid Hungry campaign. She said since she already has Grace she would like to find a girl who never had a doll and give her the extra doll if she wins. The one thing we couldn’t afford was bakery (well and everything else that came with Grace ? ) We would love to win this one. It would be awesome for all her neighborhood friends to come over with their dolls and have a baking party. So cute!

I love the little details of all of Grace’s accessories. They are very cute and a great addition to any girl’s collection. I also love how Grace is an entrepanuer. This is something my daughter wants badly. My husband just built her a dollhouse, but the one from AG is just out of our budget. This would make my daughter flip! She saved her own money to buy Grace!

Your blog has been such a blessing and an inspiration to me ever since I came across it! As a mom of three boys and one girl, it has given me something special that I can do to bond with her daily and share my love of crafting and American girl Dolls! (even my boys like to join in on the fun!) I just want to say, thank you so much for this opportunity!!! My daughter and I are so in LOVE with Grace, that we are constantly playing, and crafting with her, and enjoying her story. Grace’s bakery is incredible, and we have been dying to have it since we first saw it, but knew that it was just too expensive and we would not be able to afford it. So thank you sooo very much!
