How to make American Girl Rice Krispies Treats
How to make American Girl Rice Krispies Treats
This craft kinda fell in our laps. We have been wanting Rice Krispie Treats for a very long time and they are even on our (very long) list of yummy desserts to craft. We also knew that we needed to craft these soon since Rice Krispie Treats are one of our favorite Holiday desserts to make together. We can’t set up our Holiday doll scenes without these! So, randomly there was a piece of bendy, squishy styrofoam on the counter. I picked it up, played with it a bit (that’s part of my brainstorming technique) and put it in our craft recyclables bin. Then, just a few hours later as we are deciding what to make, the styrofoam came back to me! It was perfect! Yay! I love it when that happens. This is one of the fastest crafts we have done in a long time. And, we made A LOT. We hope your dolls enjoy!
Materials Needed:
- Scissors
- Craft Paint
- Light Bendy Styrofoam
TIPS:
- You can always give them a coat of Mod Podge at the end. This will make them a bit harder.
- If your dolls don’t like plain Rice Krispie Treats, don’t stop where we did! Add some yummy goodies! Puffy Paint for frosting, cut up color paper for sprinkles, paint them brown for chocolate!

I didn’t have the styrofoam but I made it with a different kind. Is there a way to see all of the new posts or should I just scroll around?

a small question, did you use crunchy styrofoam or the soft kind you put in cushions?

I just found some Styrofoam a few hours ago that would be PERFECT for this yummy craft. Now I can’t wait to make them! But unfortunately I am away from home right now so I don’t have any Craft Paint to use. But I will start making Crafts for the dolls as soon as I get home!

Thank you. This was easy. I used packing foam and this looked better because the foam has circles that looked like rice.

so cute!!Where do you get the Styrofoam?Or is it just prom packaging? Also could you use a sponge instead? Thanks for your amazing crafts!?
November 25, 2015 at 8:19 am –
It was just from packaging. A sponge will be a little different as they are much softer than this and the holes are bigger. The holes on this styrofoam are very tiny so it’s more to scale for the dolls treats. But you should give it a try if that’s what you have on hand!
