American Girl Rug

I am working on completing a bedroom for my daughter’s American Girl Doll.  It’s slowly coming together piece by piece.  I’m not complaining though, it’s been fun for the both of us!  This tutorial is so quick and easy, you’ll want to add a cute rug to every room!  I went to Joann’s Fabric store and was excited to see that the clearance fabric was an extra 50% off!  I love to grab cute inexpensive fabric so when a craft does come up I don’t have to run out and pay full price.  You can imagine how happy I was to find this fuzzy fabric on sale for $3 a yard!  I only needed half a yard, so it was a great find.

Materials needed:

Fuzzy Fabric of your choice

Sewing machine

Scissors

Step 1:

Get your fabric and cut it to the size that you want for your room.  The size will vary for a regular barbie house to an 18 inch doll house.

Step 2:

Once you have the right size cut out, it’s time to hem the edges.  I just used a straight hem.

Step 3:

Add the american girl rug to the room where you want it!  So easy.  Run your hand across it so it doesn’t look so flat.  I like to fluff mine up.
