Absolutely everyone is talking about the GOTY 2015. What is her name? What will she look like? Is her name Grace?
BREAKING NEWS – Her name is officially Grace Thomas according to the Library of Congress Online Catalog. Her code name is Coco as we all know, but now the name is out so no need to use Coco anymore.
I’m kind of bummed because I really enjoy all the suspense. I think it was a little too soon to leak the name. I mean after all, I’m not done having fun with Isabelle yet! Which is why I recommend for everyone to quickly wrap their heads around the new American GOTY 2015. Her name is Grace Thomas. Embrace it, you can’t change it, and then go play with Isabelle. This is her year and she still needs the spotlight for a few more months.

Have you ever thought of making an american boy doll?
All their GOTY dolls look the same! It’s so freaking annoying an the plot lines are all the same-courage or whatever. Have they eve thought of making an ASIAN DOLL or an AFRICAN AMERICAN DOLL or even an INDIAN DOLL?? Like Kanani was a GREAT doll! Make more like that!!

I think they should make a black haired girl of the year and it kind of sounds like Marie graces name make a dolls name like Lizzie or Annabel or Cali or katelyn or Taylor or Macy or Madison or Sarah or Leah or rylee or aaliyah or Alisha or Courtney or Rachel or rocky or something. They should make a banged GOTY. They haven’t had one since Gwen. Her hair should also be red. They also haven’t had many of those besides Mia.

So dissapointing. I am tired of American Girl making dolls with no ethnicity!! I feel out of all the GOTY’s Kanani was the best because of her ethnic background, along with Chrissa because she made the Josefina face old look the best for a white doll. American Girl needs to make an Indian or African American or another Asian but they are too scared because they know that most of their customers wot buy it. They make what they think will sell. I am tired of these basic white dolls, not being racist but we need diversity.

Addy, African American, Chrissa, sho is white, Rebecca who is Jewish and Kanani who is Hawain and mixed. I am getting Caroline on Friday. I do NOT like Grace. She is a copy of Chrissa and McKenna. So annoyed right now.

I honestly feel they are running out of ideas though. They should use the MaryGrace face mold again.I think your right. AG is running out of ideas. For a doll company the choices may be limited at times on what they think will sell. I do like what I have seen on Gace. love the darker hair and I think she will have medium skin. Her blue eyes brighten her face. This doll will join our 15 doll family on Jan 1st for sure.
I am looking forward to Grace but I have seen her and she looks a lot like Chrissa…. Anyway, I think they should make a GOTY that has really short hair like a boy.

The reason I love American girl dolls a specially grace and the reason I love them is because they are all unique and they have style and that’s what’s most important about them!!!!!!!!!!!

I love most of american girls. French would be an amazing choice. The doll could be a fashion designer or painter. Maybe they could create a replica of a smaller Eiffel Tower. :]
I love the idea of Grace, her stories, and her collection, but I thought she was going to have a physical disability. Overall, she and her collection look beautiful!

you girls need to understand that the dolls they make are based on people from the events they done in life and in the book sometimes they use the people or make dolls or people who are alike from the them.
Maybe you should post some pics of her so we know what she looks like
Here’s the thing guys, yes yes we know AG has a lot of white colored girls (most of them) but GOTY is their big thing, therefore they must make what they can sell. It’s not like the company itself has race issues, have you been to an AG store? Many of their employees are another color, and they have color skinned historical characters (let alone all types of colored look-a-likes) so race is not a problem. As for the disability talk… GOTY is their big thing, they can’t have 400 thousand Down syndrome dolls or 200 thousand Asian dolls ready to sell by January 1st and hope it will pay to continue the business. While GOTY is not up for negotiation, AG does sell wheelchairs, hearing aids, allergy- free lunches, and hair-less dolls, and nothing is more special than having a doll ‘custom made’ just for you.
I know what GOTY 2015 looks like! The pictures of the product leaked form American Girl and now people could see her pictures. She has dark brown cocoa colored hair and side bangs, her meet outfit has PARIS printed on it with an Eiffel Tower, and she comes with pierced ears!! OMG so excited for her to come out!
Oh My Gosh! My name is Grace, so I love the name, but can you guess what my best friends name is? Well if you can’t my best friends name is…THOMAS! How cool is this. Plus last summer me and Thomas tried to start a business, but the plans got ruined when we had to go to San Antonio, where my cousin who HATES MY GUTS live. I like the name grace in general, but they should make her have a more rare name such as Rosalie . Genevieve, lexi ,,Camilla,or even a common but pretty and not used at Ag before , like Kate, lily, Allison ,,lucy,or Courtney . other rare and pretty names include Britton, Brooklyn, Natalya , Sabrina, Harper, and Payton
I also don’t like that grace looks A LOT CHRISSA!!! I don’t know why they can’t make a more diverse doll. I appreciate sage,s auburn hair, but they should make a doll with actual red hair. Not auburn and not strawberry blonde. But like the red orange color.
Although I love blonde , way too many Ag dolls are blond and I think they like I said make a red orange haired doll or a light brown (not Carmel) hair colored doll. Please no hate I am. Only stating my opinion.
I am supes excited for the new ag goty!!!!!!!!:) I even know what she looks like. she has brown hair, pull back bangs, freckles, and she is French! I think it is awesome because Parlez Francais. ( I Speak French )
Grace???? I saw her on Instagram and they sent my sister a Grace Mag…. Her bulldog is cute!!!…. oppose!!!… spoil alert! By the way her bakery is 500$ it’s so cutouts much money!… and most of her collection is French plush so adorable! I love the name Grace!

My daughter loves loves AGD, we live in Australia but we saved up to buy her an AGD. All he friends thinks it’s pretty cool she owns one.
But for the new doll to bake? Really? Not a strong character wanting to change poverty or a basketball player?
While you’re at it AGD get some boy dolls apart from the toddler twins. My son loves his toddler boy.
