DIY Doll Makeup Bag

There are several cute cosmetic and travel bags available for your dolls. All the brands including American Girl, Our Generation, My Life As and Journey Girls has released similar style bags. However, if you haven’t purchased any of the sets that includes the bags, you may be missing out! Your doll needs something to keep her personal items organized especially when going on a trip! Or, even if you have a bag or two from a set, you may need a few more for organization! This is a simple craft, but it does involve hot glue, so have an adult around! You shouldn’t ever be touching the hot glue or even wiping off the excess with your fingers, so you should be safe from burns!

A few tips since making this:

When creating the placement for the zipper, it should go directly center. This means actually placing it off to the side a little bit before wrapping(you’ll understand after watching the video) so when the back overlaps slightly it’s centered.

Always reinforce the inside top and bottom with an extra later of hot glue once the first layer has cooled.

Materials Needed:

• Craft Foam (I used Glitter)
• Hot Glue
• Zipper (I used a 7″ zipper, but a little longer would have been better )
