DIY American Girl Back to School Pencil Pouch
School started back this week for us and we are so happy! Another year of fun and learning with friends. We really want to do more back to school crafts, but it is a little hectic around this time since we are just getting back in the groove of things. Hopefully we can do a few more before the holidays roll around. If not, we are doing our best!
We found these really cute doll size colored pencils at Michael’s for only $1! We got a few sets since we love art. They are going to look great in our classroom setup and hopefully an art room and a craft room soon. If you don’t want to buy the colored pencils, you can always make your own!
Materials Needed:
- Scrap Felt
- Scrap Ribbon or String
- Doll Pencils
- Scissors

As for a craft idea, maybe you could make some of the old Nancy Drew books, like the ones with the yellow binding? Or maybe some of the Nancy Drew computer games if you make/have made a computer? Those would be adorable!

Wow!! I’ve never seen a pencil pouch like that before. So cute! I’ve always bought either the ones with a zipper or the plastic ones. I only have a week left until school starts. Hopefully 8th grade won’t be too stressful! <3

Your crafts are amazing!!! I make them all the time!! I was wondering if you could make a contacts set for a AG doll? I have contacts and would love for my AG doll to have them to!!

Thanks for the compliments! Contacts have been highly requested for a long time! However, with the American Girl dolls eyes, I don’t think it would be a good idea. I can see them getting stuck back in their heads or not allowing the eyes to close. Better to be safe than sorry!

It’s great to know that your kids are ok about going back to school. I’m not doing so well adjusting to my new school, my family just recently moved pretty far. At least I got #47 (Landen) out of it! Sorry if this comment sound like a brag, I didn’t men for it to be. Anyway, I agree with the requests of the France bedroom, chrome book, hammock and I love the idea of a craft room!
