American Girl Melody Movie Premiere

Last night we attended the premiere of an Amazon Original Special, American Girl Melody 1963 Love Has to Win. To say it was amazing is an understatement. It was so much fun and a really great experience for the girls. The American Girl Place LA was closed to the public for the event, but it quickly filled with the invited guests. The complete cast from the Melody movie was there to mingle and take pictures for the event. The night started with the movie showing and then moved to the American Girl store for refreshments, fun and a special gift. We even got Marsai Martin to sign our Melody doll! During the movie, we sat next to Frankie Faison who played Melody’s grandfather in the film. Frances Fisher, Idara Victor, Marsai Martin, and Anthony Anderson were right behind us.

Ian Ziering was there and my girls recognized him as McKenna’s dad from the American Girl movie where as some may have thought 90210.

On a side note, Launa was really excited to see Aubrey Anderson. She plays Lily on Modern Family.
