I have noticed lately when my kids play in one of their dollhouses, they stay in one room for a few days.  Sometimes their dolls play all over the house, but for the last few days the focus has been in the kitchen.  And of course when I joined them I noticed our the dolls cupboards are a little bare.  Hmmmm, that’s sad.  We don’t need hungry dolls that’s for sure!  So, last night after I put the kids to bed I was on a mission to fill the doll pantry!  I started on several food printables, which is always a mistake!  I need to focus on one at a time, I think they get done faster that way and I can share them here with you.  Anyways, enough on how this project came about, here it is.  American Girl cereal boxes!  Oh yeah!  I did several flavors so hopefully there is one that is your dolls favorite.  Note: I did play around with the size and the one I am giving you turned out to be my favorite.  You can always adjust it yourself when you go to print preview.

Yeah there are two Rice Krispies, it’s a favorite in our house ?  Mostly for making Rice Krispy Treats!

 Materials Needed:

  1. Cardstock
  2. Scissors
  3. Glue Stick
  4. *And of course a printer-OR save to a flash drive and take it to a local printing place and save on ink!  My favorite is FedEx or Target kiosk.

Before I cut out the printables I cover the image with packaging tape.  Once the image is covered with tape then I cut out the printable.  Before I fold the box to shape, I score the backside (do not score the front or you will cut the tape) to make it easier to form.  I put together a few with tape and a few with a glue stick.  They both work, so whatever your preference is will be fine.  Glue takes longer so you will need patience!

We don’t really need cereal boxes because my sister eats a lot of those mini cereal boxes and they’re the perfect size! It was technically my sister’s idea but I stole the idea, genius aren’t I?!

Crystal, be sure when you download the file that you click on the words (Cereal Printable 1) and NOT on the picture. If you click on the picture, you get mini images, you need to print on the words to get the PDF file that print in the right size. Hope that helps!

Thank you! Does cardstock work in all computers? I usually print out on paper then glue to thin cardboard, but your way seems like it would be so much easier. Do you buy cardstock the same place you buy printer paper. You can tell that I don’t know much about computers or printers, but I’m learning!
