DIY Emoji Doll Pillows

We are on a roll lately with honoring craft requests!  The DIY Emoji Pillows have been requested almost as much as the American Girl Hoverboard so we thought we would give it a go.  This is a very simple craft and there are several ways to do it, so check out the tips below after the video.

Materials Needed:

  1. Fleece
  2. Felt
  3. Scissors
  4. Hot Glue OR Tacky Glue OR Fabric Glue OR Needle & Thread
  5. Batting

TIPS:

  • If you can’t use hot glue, just hem the edges for the pillow body.  Then for the facial expressions use a tacky glue.  It takes longer to dry than hot glue, but it will get the job done.  If you want to nix the hot glue AND the sewing, use a fabric glue for everything!
  • If you don’t like to freehand the shapes, use this printable as a guide. Cut it out and trace the shapes on to the fleece/felt. Emoji Printable

    Absolutely loved this craft! Made them last night with my daughter for her and my niece – they match their big pillows! Nice way to spend an evening with my daughter creating them together. Love, Love, Love it!
