How to make American Girl Peppermint Bark
How to make American Girl Peppermint Bark
I have been patiently waiting to do this post because peppermint bark is my all time favorite! Love chocolate and love peppermint! This is an easy craft so even little helpers can do it. We have made several batches to add to our hot cocoa stand, baking scene, and cookie exchange scene. This is so much fun!
Materials Needed:
- Thick Brown and White/Cream Craft Foam
- Scrap Red & White Craft Foam OR Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
TIPS:
- I used thin scrap foam for the peppermint on top, but a good substitution is regular construction paper. You can even use plain white paper and use a red marker or crayon to make it peppermint!
- The foam I used for the chocolate is a thicker foam, it’s not the thin sheets. If you want the same thickness use a 5 or 6mm craft foam.
- The glue has to completely dry before you start cutting it up.
- Peppermint bark doesn’t have to be milk chocolate and white chocolate, that’s just my favorite type. You can do plain white or plain chocolate depending on what your dolls prefer! ?
Watch and tell us what your dolls will do with their peppermint bark. Gift it? Eat it? Bake sale?

Can you make Sugar Cookies? You could just cut the shape you want out of Craft Foam, and Frost them with Puffy Paint!

Hey Rudy! I am going to start a craft blog over Christmas break (American Girl, of course). Any suggestions on making it a success instead of the inevitable (for me) flop?

Sorry I meant to reply to Arianna’s first comment. I tried to reply but I am not very tech-savvy and kind of messed up… (I was talking about the ham)

Ooh yes! I have no idea how Felicia’s Kitchen does it! It’s like she took an actual ham and zapped it with a shrink-ray to make it tiny, like in science-fiction! I love her food but am in don’t-buy-anything-till-you-buy-Grace mode (yes I am still saving up for her and it’s getting desperate), so I rely on your crafts Rudy! I love your blog!
