This doll size Hot Wheels race car rug was such a simple craft to create. I did use a needle and thread but that part can easily be substituted out if needed. Other than that just craft felt and glue! We created an entire bedroom with the Hot Wheels theme and every race car room has a rug to play on! World’s Smallest sent us several of the Hot Wheels tracks that are the absolute perfect size for our 18″ dolls. The cars even fit on the DIY rug! Don’t let the tiny size of the tracks fool you, they work just like the full size version! The tracks link together and you can get the cars to do the loops! My favorite item from the World’s Smallest Hot Wheels collection is the tire case. It holds the car and again, it’s the perfect size for the dolls to use. So cute! Yeah Kabellacupcakery2016, I saw that,pretty sure that AG is getting rid of Z at the same time as Tenney and Gabby. Sad. But on the bright side AG kept Gabby for another year!??

I was looking at the AG magazine and it said ” say good-by to tenney” she will be gone at the end of the year or until supplies last…..
And they don’t have Z in the magazine anymore ether…

So cute! Rudy, any chance you could do more Luciana themed DIY projects? My daughter would love the Mars Habitat but it is out of our budget right now. I have such wonderful memories of my parents and I building my childhood dollhouse together, I would love to do a project like that with my daughter.

I heard this from several places. First, AG has been getting a lot of flack lately for not having enough diversity within their line of dolls, and for a while, people have been outraged at the price of their products. Also, their sales have dropped dramatically in the last quarter. With the recent additions of Nanea, Z, Gabriella, and the boy dolls, they are trying to turn things around for the company. However, creating new products is costly, so the reason for dolls being discontinued may be that they aren’t making AG enough money for them to be useful. Also, when people hear that something won’t be available for much longer, it makes them want it, so AG could also just be trying to get as much money as possible out of Tenney and Z and are completely fine financially.

I know, I hope they don’t too! I hope my prediction is wrong, but even if it isn’t it probably won’t happen for another 5-10 years. Still, though……….. It’s sad.

Great craft, Rudy! Spot on realism as always. Also: Gabbi, I hate to say it, but I think that in the next few years, AG may be going out of business. With all the other less expensive doll companies out there now, AG is trying to stay afloat in any way they can, and that may include cutting dolls from their line of products. That doesn’t mean that My Life As and Our Generation aren’t great options, though, and with AGI we know we can always craft some super cute doll accessories!
