It is always fun when I get to feature someone else’s brilliant idea here on the site.  I love it!  Today I am excited so share a DIY project on how to make the American Girl Salon Styling Caddy.  This tutorial is brought to you by PlanetAG4U and I recommend visiting her YouTube channel for more awesome ideas!  The original American Girl Salon Styling Caddy is retired and hard to get ahold of, so this is a fabulous alternative!  I love it because you can really make it your own and use any style of paper to match your dolls room!

Materials Needed:

  1. Empty Oatmeal Container (Or substitute anything of same shape/size)
  2. Scissors
  3. Glue of choice
  4. Beads (Handle Pulls)
  5. Popsicle Sticks (Only if you want drawers to pull out)
  6. Contact Paper/Paint/Scrapbook Paper
  7. Pen for marking
  8. Measuring tape
  9. Straws for towel rack
  10. Extra Cardboard or Paperboard scraps

To watch the full step by step, go to the video by AGPlanet4U.  She explains how to make it and it’s very easy!  We love easy crafts!  I think this would make a great addition to every dollhouse.  Please leave a comment below with any questions you have and be sure to tell our featured guest thank you!!!  If you have already made a version of this, let us know how you did it differently!

**Tip—If you want to skip the drawers, you can just make faux drawers and still use the container for storage!  What a neat alternative.

Now we just need to make all the accessories!
