American Girl Nanea’s Family Market Playset Review

Nanea’s Family Market was released this week from American Girl and it retails for $250. You can watch the full video review below to see all the items up close. I’m hearing a lot of mixed opinions about this set and the price point. I actually think it’s right on target with other American Girl sets. I think the American Girl brand is overpriced in general, but comparing this set to others it’s on point. The Seaside Diner is $275 and even though it came with bar stools, a table and booth, it had a lot less accessories than this market. I did notice that the Gourmet Kitchen went up in price from $225 to $250. I still think that’s the best bang for your buck. The kitchen comes with a lot and it gets a lot of play time. I do feel something is missing from this set. Maybe a bench or a chair? A market street table? Something else should have been included to bring this market together. What do you think of this piece? We’ve already made the Spam, maybe we can craft some other items soon!

    Thank you for the review! I really want to love this play set but at 250$ and mostly plastic…I just can’t. But it will be a great DIY! Can’t wait to get Nanea for our daughter! We are moving to Hiwiaii soon and she will be a perfect companion on the airplane ✈️!!! Can’t wait for your DIYs!

    This is a nice set. After seeing all the items you crafted in the past, I’m sure this set can be crafted too!

    Can you please craft the cans of pineapple and nuts, and the post cards & newspapers?
