It’s December and that means the countdown to Christmas has started! Beautiful lights are everywhere, Christmas music is playing, and chestnuts are roasting on the open fires! We made an advent calendar so our dolls can countdown with us. Each day they will remove a note from the tree and follow the instructions. It’s so much fun!
Materials Needed:
- Mini Clothes Pins
- Jumbo Popsicle Sticks
- Glue
- Card Stock
- Craft Paint *Optional
- Advent Printables
Watch and tell us how you count down to Christmas!

Bought all the items – but am wondering if you cut down the paint stick – and how tall is your paint stick. I bought wood at Michael’s that was about that width and depth – I just don’t know how tall to make it. Thanks!
I think this is adorable and my niece is getting an AG for Christmas and I want to make one for her and another girl.
You come up with the nicest crafts!
I didn’t cut down the paint stick, I just spaced the layers to where they looked good. I did add a scrap piece of popsicle stick to the top for the star.
Very cute! Can you make a doll Nativity out or cardboard, felt, craft paint, and hot glue as well as a doll Christmas tree and present boxes?

For all of you looking for a doll Christmas tree, go to target. In the Christmas section, they should have trees of all sizes. They may look terrible, but you can rearrange e the leaves/branches any way you like! They also have mini ornaments in the dollar section and Christmas section, and mini lights and mini tree toppers. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
