Step 1:
Go ahead and dado the outer wall that will have the shelves put in place. See picture below for measurements.
Step 2:
Create the two small circular indentions for the dowel to go into. This will be what your dolls clothes hang on.
Step 3:
Dado the middle wall the same as the first one you did in step 1.
Step 4:
Same as step 2.
Step 5:
This is the start of the small drawer. Attach the two sides to the bottom as shown in the picture below.
Step 6:
Attach the back of the drawer by nailing into place.
Step 7:
Attach the front of the drawer to the drawer walls with nails and glue. ** The front of the drawer is spaced differently on each side. See the dimensions and diagram below.
Step 8:
Use the bottom piece as a support to attach the three structure pieces. I used the Kreg Jig so it would be super sturdy.
Step 9:
Insert the dowel and be sure to add wood glue to it.
Step 10:
Attach the top of the armoire. The top is flush with the back of the walls. This way, there will be 1/2” overhang on the sides and in the front. You will screw it into place from the inside pocket holes.
Step 11:
Slide the shelves into place. You can add wood glue to them before sliding them in, but it isn’t necessary as they will be a very tight fit.
Step 12:
Nail the back of the armoire on. Then add your hinges to the front of the Armoire.
Step 13:
Screw the closet door into the hinges. Do not tighten all the screws down. This will help with adjusting the armoire doors.
Step 14:
Screw the doll door into the hinges and make adjustments as needed.
