How to Make Grace’s Bakery Oven
How to Make Grace’s Bakery Oven
I know this post is VERY late and I deeply apologize for that. To be honest this piece was a stressful one to make. Finally, after several different plans, this one stuck. I decided to leave off the sink because I personally just could not get it right. However, you can see where a featured guest did this piece and did add the sink to the plans. Now that it is done, these plans are actually the easiest out of all the bakery furniture pieces. Feel free to ask any questions in the comment section!
Cut List:
1 – 3/4” @ 8” x 7” – Back
1 – 3/4” @ 8” x 4 1/4” – Bottom
3 – 5/16” @ 7” x 3 1/2” – Walls

1 – 3/8” @ 3 1/2” x 2 15/16” – Middle shelf
1 – 5/16” @ 3 3/16” x 2 15/16” – Bottom of Top Drawer
1 – 5/16” @ 2 15/16” x 1” – Front of Top Drawer
1 – 5/8” @ 4 1/8” x 3 1/2” – Top of Oven
1 – 5/8” @ 4 1/8” x 3 1/16” – Bottom of Oven
1 – 1/4” @ 4” x 2 5/8” – Oven Door
1 – 3/8” @ 8 7/16” x 4 5/8” Top of Sink/Oven
Step 1:
Attach the feet to the bottom. I just used wooden spools. Glue the back onto the bottom and nail from the bottom up.
Step 2:
Place the walls on top of the bottom piece. Glue in place and nail from the bottom and back side.
Step 3:
Insert the bottom and middle shelf. Glue and nail into place.
Step 4:
Insert the bottom of top drawer. This piece will not actually function as a drawer.
Step 5:
Place the Front of the Top Drawer on and nail from the sides.
Step 6:
Attach the Top of the Oven into place. Nail from the sides and back.
Step 7:
Insert the bottom of the oven. Glue and nail into place.
Step 8:
Cut out the window for the oven door. Attach the oven door with hinges.
Step 9:
Place the top of the counter on by gluing and nailing. You can also add a oven door knob if you want.

Thank you for the awesome plans I plan to make this out of Cardboard. Yeah…. I’m going for the easy way. I know it won’t look as good or last as long, but my dad doesn’t have much wood, and he’s usually pretty busy with work. But that’s ok! I think I go about my day thinking of your words constantly: #JustCraftIt ?

I see the cut list, but do you have a supply list? I’m trying to have everything on hand so I can get my husband to do all my cuts for me. Then I’ll glue everything together then have him go back and nail it lol…. Otherwise it’ll never get built!

How did you attach the oven door exactly? Where did you place your hinges and what type of hinge did you use?

Thank you, and as always nicely illustrated. I plan to use the same jars lids you used in Samantha’s ice cream parlor for the bakery sink.
