How to Make an American Girl Coke Machine
How to Make an American Girl Coke Machine
Maryellen is right around the corner and I know as soon as she enters everyones homes there will be an avalanche of 50’s style crafts. I personally can’t wait for it! We are in the process of making our own 50’s diner and slowly we are crafting the accessories for it. We can’t wait to show you the entire scene put together. But for now, here is our American Girl Coca Cola Machine!
Materials Needed:
- Red & White Spray Paint
- Tin Can
- Sticker Paper
- Coke Machine Printables
- Painters Tape
- Scissors
Tips:
- I used the sticker paper because it was much easier to stick into place on the tin. If you do not have sticker paper on hand you can just glue the printables on.
- About two coats of paint are perfect. However, a few more and it starts to crackle, bubble, and clump. I like that because it gives it a vintage look about it.
- Even though I used a Crayola Tin Can, any tin can will do. I see cookie tins out around Christmas and chocolates tins out around Valentines day. Any shape or size will work! Keep an eye out at thrift stores!
