How to Make an American Girl Bookshelf
How to Make an American Girl Bookshelf
So last year I made a really nice wooden American Girl Bookshelf that I just love! It occurred to me that with all the book printables I have been making lately, that I needed to bump that post. However, since not everyone builds, I just opted for a new tutorial using cardboard! And believe it or not, it’s really strong! I just used scrap cardboard that I had lying around from my son’s school project where we had to make a vehicle. I knew the extras would come in handy!
In the picture the bookshelf looks a little bare. Believe me, it’s not! I just wanted you to be able to see the actual bookshelf itself all finished. We ordered a set of the Dr. Seuss notebooks from Amazon, but it only comes in a pack of 24. At the time I thought that would be enough, now I realize we need much more!
Materials Needed:
- Cardboard
- Elmers Glue or Mod Podge
- Scissors
- Tape Measure
- Scrapbook Paper or Paint
- Hot Glue & Gun

I’m not a builder so this is much easier! Thanks! It looks great and we can’t wait to make it.

I love this! I make most of my daughters accessories for her dolls out of cardboard. I may post some pictures later.
