American Girl Grace Thomas Bedding • No-Sew
American Girl Grace Thomas Bedding
January 1st is getting closer and I for one am very excited! I have shown you the bed I made for Grace Thomas and the pillows. Well, here is the matching bedding and the best part is that it’s no-sew! That’s right, I didn’t have to sew anything and it’s still durable and super cute. Check out how I did it below.
Materials Needed
- Scissors
- Iron
- Stitch Witchery
- 2 Pieces of coordinating fabric cut the same size (measure to your dolls bed)

So, I’ve gotten a lot of questions from readers about this bedding. First, I want to let everyone know that the bed you see is a custom made bed that I built specifically for Grace Thomas. I wanted her to come into our home and have her own room with her own items. So, since the bed is custom, the bedding is custom as well. Meaning, the size and measurements for this bedding is specific for her bed. I did not want to give measurements in my video and have someone make it for a standard American Girl bed. It would have been to small. So, instead, use the technique I showed you, but you will have to measure YOUR bed to make sure it fits. I just don’t want your dolls toes to hang out after you have put so much love into a blanket for her! ;P
Do not forget to leave a comment below:) I love to hear your ideas!!!

I LOVE this. My daughter squealed when I showed it to her. She got a sewing machine for Christmas. I think we will attempt to sew a few sides and use the stitch witchery on the others. Thanks for sharing. Please share. Where did you find the effifel tower?

if you have a sewing machine. put the fabric back to back and then sew it leving a little space at the end. then flip it in side out and stuff it then sew the hole.

Hi sorry to bother you again I wanted to know if you can give me the measurements for the pillows and blanket?
December 31, 2014 at 6:06 pm –
So, I didn’t give exact measurements for the blanket because my blanket was for a custom made bed. However, if you have a standard size American Girl bed, 16″x23″ will fit perfect. That is the measurement for the fabric, not finished size. That’s giving you an inch to work with. The Polka dot pillow I showed was 11″x9″. Hope that helps!

Very cute. When i make bedding i will probably use fleece, that way i will just have to trim it.

If I you don’t have stich witchery, is it possible to do the same thing but with a sewing machine? Just wondering.
January 3, 2015 at 7:39 pm –
Of course! Sewing would be my first choice, but I wanted to show people who can’t sew how they can still make cute bedding!
