American Girl Paris Tea Party
American Girl Paris Tea Party
I have been to a lot of themed parties, even as an adult. My favorites have been bridal showers where dress up is required. Like Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Who doesn’t want to dress up like Audrey Hepburn wearing big shades, fancy jewelry, a little black dress and a TIARA! Come on. It’s fun, even for adults.
That’s why when I saw this American Girl Paris Tea Party, I had to share it with you. It is not mine, so I cannot take credit for the beautiful set up. However, our guest Betsey has allowed me to share it with you and I’m so excited!
This American Girl Paris Tea Party was held at a local club house. However, Betsey did all of the decorating. Isn’t it fabulous?! There are tea pots everywhere, some holding flowers in them.
Every girl had their own place to sit at the table.
Each place had a special touch for the girls. For a party favor bag, Betsey used Michael’s gift bags and added each girls name on them with a pretty pink bow.
The little doll cakes were paper mâché boxes covered with scrapbook paper, ribbons and flowers. The stands were wood circles and mini candle holders glued together. How creative! Right up my alley.
This was the boutique set up. There was jewelry, shirts, skirts, all of which was homemade. The girls got to take these items home as party favors!
There were also a bunch of stations set up for doll play — ice cream shop, bakery, park scenes — and a lot of the kids took selfies with their dolls. Instead of the traditional pin the tail on the donkey, it was pin the tail on the poodle. Because, you know, poodles are fancier!
Oh, and don’t forget about the main picture at the top of this post! There was a fun photo booth set up. Because the girls were already dressed up for the party, they enjoyed posing in front of a Paris backdrop using hats, glasses, flowers and other props. I’m sure this was a BIG hit!
*Please let’s give Betsey a big thank you for sharing this amazing American Girl Paris Tea Party with us! It was brilliant and inspiring! Leave a comment below with your thoughts and questions if you have any! After seeing the Saige themed party and this one, I don’t know which one to recreate! Not to mention I have more coming! It’s a good problem to have.

Is there any chance you could give me an estimated date on when the bakery will be finished?

I have designed the last two furniture pieces for the inside, now I am building them this week. I am putting together a surprise to show how I decorate the inside, which might take a few weeks. My goal is to have it done by the end of March.
