This cake stand is made from an empty large spool of thread, an empty ribbon cardboard spool, and half of a clear plastic Christmas ornament, and a clear bead for the top of the cake stand cover. I glued the edge of a doily to the sides of the ribbon spool and glued that to the thread spool. Then I glued the clear bead to the half of the Christmas ornament.
